Machine pallet wrap often referred to as machine stretch film, is essential for any business that wraps a large number of pallets a day. At Opak our high performance films come in a range of thickness, colours and performance grades and is suited to match all common pallet wrapping machines. Pallet wrap is used to secure goods to a pallet for transport and is available in either hand or machine applied application. By using a machine to wrap pallets, it speeds up the wrapping process, keeps a consistent quality of wrapping and is a must have for any business that dispatches multiple pallets a day.
Standard Machine Pallet wrap is designed for use with automatic and semi automatic pallet wrapping machines. At Opak, we stock a choice of thickness/Micron (mu) ranging 17mu to 30mu. The most common standard grade machine stretch film is either our 20mu or 23mu film. For those requiring an even thicker film, we offer a standard machine pallet wrap in 30mu thickness. A standard grade film often has a better resistance to puncture making it ideal for heavier or irregular loads, and is stretched as the film is wrapped round the pallet.
Power Pre Stretch Machine Pallet Wrap has been pre stretched during manufacturing process to 250% which makes it stronger, often meaning less film is required to wrap the goods and therefore more economical in the long run. The most common choice when using Pallet wrapping machines is our 23mu Pre Stretch Film, but we also offer a 20mu and 17mu film. All our Pre Stretch Machine pallet wrap comes on a 500mm width roll. For the most economical machine film, we can offer a 7mu film which comes with a massive 3250 metres of film on a roll (on a 430mm width film).
Coloured Machine Pallet Wrap is available in either black or blue and has been pre stretched to 250% giving it greater strength over standard grade wrap. Black Pallet Wrap is sometimes referred to as Security wrap, and is opaque which makes it ideal for shielding the goods from view whilst in transit. Blue Pallet Wrap is tinted in colour, and is often used in the food industry or for colour coding freight. Blue Machine Pallet wrap is 23mu in thickness, and the black option is 25mu. Both come on a 500mm wide roll.
NANO Machine Pallet Wrap has a superior pre-stretch, giving a thinner film with a greater strength than a normal Power Pre stretch film, meaning you get more metreage to a roll and more value for money in the long run. At Opak we stock two different film types in our Nano machine range, either a 12mu or 15mu thickness both having been pre stretched to 300% on a 500mm width roll.
